Rockhampton Hospital’s home training dialysis unit has moved into a new convenient location in the city heart. The seven-chair unit was previously located in the Renal Unit at Rockhampton Hospital, and Nurse Unit Manager Jenny Anderson is delighted with the new training rooms in the clinic on the corner of East and Archer streets, in the same location as the self-care unit.

Emerald Hospital is helping families stay healthy by providing free childhood immunisations with child health checks. Cathy Hampton, Nurse Unit Manager Child Health, said parents could now organise their child’s immunisation and in the same appointment have their child’s developmental health checked.

Gladstone Hospital Emergency Department has had an outstanding week, recording near-perfect waiting times. National Emergency Access Target (NEAT) is a key performance indicator allowing comparison for hospitals across the country. It measures the number of patients who are
seen, treated and leave the Emergency Department within four hours.
